VENUE INFORMATION

Ent Center for the Arts offers a variety of beautiful spaces for venue rentals. Below are the 4 Rental space available that can serve large conferences to intimate gallery access. These performance spaces are often rented out to other university groups and public organizations or event promoters throughout the year.

UC Services manages the venues at the Ent Center for the Arts If you are interested in renting a venue at the Ent Center, please contact Event Services at events@uccs.edu. The Box Office will provide ticketing for rental productions.

Spaces Available To Rent
  • The Shockley-Zalabak Theater is a 750-seat proscenium house that serves a mix of in-house produced events, as well as tours, rentals, and local community organizations. The largest venue in the Ent Center for the Arts, this stage is equipped with a hydraulic apron and seats up to 778 patrons (with the apron in the lower position). With the apron raised, the seating capacity is 742.

    Like all venues in the building, the Shockley-Zalabak is equipped with sustainable and flexible LED lighting technology. It is also outfitted with an automated fly system for scenery and lighting. Email EntProd@uccs.edu for a current tech packet.

  • The Chapman Foundations Recital Hall is an intimate recital hall that seats up to 242 patrons. To ensure an exceptional auditory experience, the venue is acoustically isolated from the rest of the facility, with its own HVAC and electrical systems, and is designed to be one of the highest quality acoustic spaces in the region. The dynamic acoustics in the hall can be adjusted as needed.

  • Marie Walsh Sharpe Gallery of Contemporary Art* is a unique gallery space with an artful interior design. The space is a 2,600 square foot, completely flexible and transformable, museum-quality, white-cube exhibition space. It is equipped with state-of-the-art humidity control and security. The gallery’s retroplate flooring system, fully plywood-backed walls, grid of strong points at the ceiling, and dedicated loading dock can accommodate art installations in nearly any configuration.
