A View from the Crow's Nest by Murray Ross

Murray Ross was the founder of TheatreWorks--a community theater in Colorado Springs that rose to be a leader among its peers and resides now in the elegant Ent Center for the Arts. For over 40 years Ross led TheatreWorks, mounting over 100 productions and turning quiet Colorado Springs into a cultural mecca. Through the decades, Ross touched the lives of thousands--actors and support staff who worked closely with him, students who learned at his feet, and audience members who were transported by his work.

Though he passed away in 2017, Ross' influence continues. Gathered together for the first time, his essays and musings are now available in A View from the Crow's Nest. From Shakespeare to contemporary theater and everything in between, this collection brings together over 200 pages of witty, thoughtful commentary. For those who remember Ross' great influence, and for those who simply love the theater, this book is a delight of insight.

The Ent Center for the Arts is a transformational performing and visual arts complex

Embedded within the UCCS campus, this 92,000 square-foot building features four performing arts venues and a visual arts gallery.

The Ent Center for the Arts is the new home for the professional arts programs of UCCS Presents (the Artist Series, Theatreworks, and the Galleries of Contemporary Art) and two of the academic programs of the Visual and Performing Arts Department (Music Program and Theatre and Dance Program.)
