Written by Henry James, Adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher, and Directed by Kristin Skye Hoffmann.
An isolated manor on the windswept moors, an unsuspecting governess, her two enigmatic young charges, secrets lurking around every corner. Henry James' classic novella has terrified audiences for over a hundred years, and this new stage adaptation heightens the mystery of the original, challenging audiences to separate the ravings of one woman from the horrors she may-or may not?- have witnessed. Join two fantastic actors in the intimacy of the Osborne Studio Theater for a close encounter with one of the best ghost stories ever written.
UCCS students are always free. Contact the box office in person or by phone with your student ID to reserve seats.
This production contains an unreliable narrator, discussions of family violence and possible sexual abuse. As each audience member is different, we don't make age recommendations, but if you have questions about the material or wish to read a copy of the work in advance, please email Artistic Director Caitlin Lowans at clowans@uccs.edu
