Henry IV & V - September 2024

Written by William Shakespeare, Directed and Adapted by Max Shulman.
Sponsored by Elissa and Bruce Feldmeyer.

"Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown" Shakespeare's multi-part saga chronicling the meteoric rise of King Henry V comes to Theatreworks, combining the text and stories of Henry IV Pt. 1, Henry IV Pt 2 and Henry V into one exceptional (and fast-paced 2.5 hour!) play. From the throne room to the tavern, to the battlefield and back, witness this epic interrogation of the steep cost of power to those who wield it, those who lose it and the nation that must choose its leaders wisely. Directed by Max Shulman (An Iliad, Free-For-All: Pericles), this sweeping production promises an explosive opening to the 2024-25 season!

UCCS students are always free. Contact the box office in person or by phone with your student ID to reserve seats.

This text contains descriptions of death and battle. This production contains staged hand-to-hand and sword violence, stage blood, brief physical allusion to sexual acts, and loud sounds, flashing lights, and safety-tested theatrical haze. As each audience member is different, we don't make age recommendations, but if you have questions about the material or wish to read a copy of the work in advance, please email Artistic Director Caitlin Lowans at clowans@uccs.edu.
