Book by Joe Masteroff | Music by John Kander | Lyrics by Fred Ebb
Directed by Scott RC Levy
Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome. Step into the crumbling decadence of 1920s Weimar Germany as Theatreworks transforms the Dusty Loo into the infamous Kit Kat Club. This immersive new production of Cabaret—first staged by Theatreworks in 1987—blurs the line between audience and performance, revealing the musical’s raw energy, haunting beauty, and chilling relevance. With a live band and a fearless vision by director Scott RC Levy (Green Box Arts Festival), the Emcee, Sally Bowles, and the ensemble of Berlin’s nightlife invite you to toast, laugh, and reckon with a world on the brink.
UCCS students are always free. Contact the box office in person or by phone with your student ID to reserve seats.
This production contains adult themes, including sexual content, depictions of antisemitism and fascism, and references to abortion. If you have questions about the material or wish to read a copy of the script in advance, please email theatreworks@uccs.edu.
